Conversely, conjunct adverbs are used to express a contrast between two ideas or to connect two independent clauses together. For example, although, however, still, yet, nevertheless, and on the other hand are all conjunct adverbs. They can be employed to show that the two ideas or clauses are related, despite their differences. As a result, conjunct adverbs allow for a more cohesive and effective communication.
